Born in California, Scott Story began his photographic journey as a child, helping his father in his studio and lab in downtown Hollywood. There, he learned the photographic process in one of the top custom labs in the city. Starting with the basic self-made pinhole camera, he experimented and produced prints that served to capture his imagination and firmly solidify his passion for photography.
As the years passed, Scott's eyes and hands kept busy with wedding and event photography, which provided a steady income. In his mid-twenties, on a whim, he traveled to Alaska to experience and photograph what he considered to be a mystical place. Perhaps it was the 24-hour summer sunshine of the arctic circle, the treks through the wild tundra, or the fact that he was not just a visitor to this area, but an integral organism, but he realized then his true photographic subject of love...nature and wildlife.
Since then, Scott has traveled to four continents in a life-long pursuit to experience as much of the world as possible. From the expansive plains of southern Africa, the hidden pockets in Europe, to the rain forests of South America and the expansive variety in North America, he continues his journey and shares his visions with the world.
